About
I'm David James. I live in Clinton, Missouri.
Thirty years in IT. Director of Operations background at an MSP. I still sit with the person who does the job. I don't think that's old-fashioned. I think it's how you avoid automating a mess.
What I run
- Henry County Consulting — paid, do-it-with-you workflow and agent consulting. Assess → Simplify → Automate → Train.
- AI for Missouri — workshops and coaching. Statewide education, not an engagement.
- DJ Prints 3D — chips, coins, pocket markers.
- League tools — APA Captain and scoring apps I built because I needed them.
- This site — the notebook.
How I show up
Faith shapes the work. Honest about what AI can and can't do. No hype. Stay humble. Let things come to you. Work whenever you can — boredom is a waste of time.
Outside the shop: fishing, being on the water, competitive APA billiards. I'm chasing the APA Championship in Vegas.
